Florida Vacation Day 1

Last night, my daughter Kayesha, her husband Boris, their two children Zaylen (4) and Zahria (3) and Boris's mother Peggy and I left North Carolina headed for Orlando, Florida. We will be spending a week between Orlando and Tampa, Fl. For most of the time, we will be at the Palisades Resort in Winter Garden, FL. We also plan to visit my brother Hampton in Tampa and visit the Disney Parks while here. So, after this vacation, I will need another vacation to recoup from this one!
At the Palisades, we have a 3 bedroom, two bathroom unit. The resort was easy to find and is actually right off of Irlo Bronson Hwy. So it is convenient to shops, restaurants, theme parks and more. I was told it is not actually in Winter Garden, but since I know nothing about where towns are located in Florida, I just put in the address and let the GPS do the guiding.
We arrived safely but very early. So, of course, our accommodations were not ready. We were there around 11am and check in is at 4pm. We were tired after being up all night but could not complain because we knew what time check-in was before leaving home. We were going to go exploring but the wonderful desk clerk told us there was a small theater we could take the children to and we could choose from the movies they had or supply our own for them to watch. That was such a nice touch. Something for the children to do while we waited for the "room" to get cleaned. There was no popcorn but we had our own snacks so it worked out great. We even had enough to share with other children who were there. Before we could finish watching the movie with the kids, our accommodations were ready.
Our three bedroom unit consisted of a king master suite, a queen bedroom and the third bedroom has two twin beds. We also have a full kitchen, dining area, a living room and a screened in balcony with three ways to access it (through the master bedroom, through the living room and through the bedroom with the two twin beds.
The unit was clean and spacious. The TV's were smaller that I expected, but we weren't there to watch TV!
After we got settled in, we ordered dinner from Boardwalk Brothers Wings, Burgers and Fries
The food is highly recommended while you are in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. After we ate, we were so tired, everyone retreated to his/her respective bedroom and knocked out! All I remember is lying down.
